Why do we care?

Volunteers with our organization spend hundreds of hours cleaning litter and working on community improvement projects. On the website, we take some hard shots at those who are not keeping up our city's standards. Some wonder why we care so much about keeping Ferguson beautiful. It's simple ... there are so many unique, beautiful things in Ferguson, we think it would be a crime to neglect them. A quick photo tour will give you an idea of what we mean.

Ferguson is home to a great number of large, historic homes. These homes, built in the late 19th and early 20th century, have been remarkably preserved for the enjoyment of generations to come.

For those who can't afford a huge mansion - or just don't want that many rooms to vacuum - Ferguson also offers a great many affordable homes, both historic and recent. Unlike many places, we take pride in every street of our town, and work to ensure that every resident lives in a safe and attractive neighborhood.

For those who don't want the responsibility of a single family home, Ferguson also offers a wide variety of attractive multi-family rentals. From historic duplexes to large apartment complexes, you can find it all in Ferguson.

Almost every neighborhood in Ferguson has a park within a few blocks. With ball fields, tennis and basketball courts, walking trails, swimming, and fishing, you can always find something to do, right close to home.

Ferguson has a full range of churches, and both public and parochial schools. We offer the friendliness of a small town, with the resources of a big city. What could be better?

Now that you've taken the tour, you might want a cup of coffee or a quick treat to eat. Ferguson has that too. You can get a cup of joe at the Corner Coffee House, or a custard at the Whistle Stop Depot. If you're a little more hungry, we have everything from quick served subs to fancy Italian and Mexican. We even have the area's first Maid-Rite Diner.

After all that, surely you can understand why we feel so strongly - and work so hard to keep Ferguson beautiful.
